“Cowpie Bingo”
Sueños Artist Series (12 of 12), 2026
Paper, Glue, Printer's Ink, Glass, Natural Cork, Fermented Grape JuiceEach autumn, the people of Los Alamos draw a grid on the pavement near the center of town, turn a cow loose on it, and wait. That which she (eventually) drops smells like sweet victory to the lucky local who purchased the right square. This is Cowpie Bingo, and the finest cultural tradition that rural Santa Barbara County has ever known.
Los Alamos is that kind of town—caught somewhere between past and present… Wild west and coastal elite… The place is a stagecoach stop, long haul rest area and Park Slope Brooklyn all rolled into one. What would life be without contrast? More importantly, what would wine be?
“Cowpie Bingo” is available for $100.
