Through Thanksgiving

Gist Ranch, Santa Cruz Mountains

70% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc
“Wine Weirdo Approved!”

47 cases produced • Vinification info

A wine from a vineyard in a forest in the sky. Foot-trodden rather than mechanically pressed, this co-fermented white blend hits like a lemon verbena laser beam, then unfolds into stone fruit, honey and pure texture. A perfect cool-climate white for a warm, sunny day.

$36/btl
6-pack $194
12-pack $388

2025 “Cloud Blanc”

Besio Vineyard, Santa Cruz Mountains

Co-fermented Sangiovese, Dolcetto, Refosco, Pinot Noir & Syrah

42 cases produced • Vinification info

A co-fermented red table wine from the 45-year-old, head trained, own-rooted vines of the Santa Cruz Mountains' most interesting backyard vineyard. Blackberries, Bing cherries, brambly, stony and herbaceous—just like the trail that leads past the vineyard’s gate and into the redwoods beyond.

12-pack $388

2024 California Field Blend

Thanks for supporting Alta Sueños.

At the moment, the only way to order these wines is via our mailing list—which means that nothing about this dream is possible without the amazing people who’ve signed up for it. If you’re seeing this page, you’re one of them. Thanks.

Why sell wine this way? For one thing, there isn’t much of it to go around. But the real reason is it gives me a chance to meet and talk with everyone who tries the wines.

The order buttons to the right will open a pre-populated form you’ll use to customize your order. And no matter which button you click, we’re happy to mix any combination of red and white wines for your order. More detailed purchase info is below.

TikTok’s “Wine Weirdos” love Cloud Blanc!

For a while I’ve been following @wineweirdos for their concise, often-hilarious reviews. The weirdos focus on the kind of wines I’m drawn to: native-yeast ferments and minimal intervention styles, made by independent producers and from responsibly-farmed fruit. The bottles they choose are also often of truly great value for the money.

This spring they replied to a comment I left on one of their posts and asked to try my stuff. I couldn’t be more pumped about their response.

Just a few bottles left!

We’re almost through our special, 12-bottle collector’s edition of the very first Alta Sueños wine.

These bottles were produced without the standard labels and have been transformed into handmade, one-of-a-kind artworks by Corinne Cobabe Rushing. This limited edition case is literally the first twelve bottles of wine I ever made, and it’s the last of that inaugural 2023 vintage that will ever be sold.
